Lieutenant Bingham quickly rose through the ranks, being promoted to Corporal in 2009 and then to Sergeant in July 2010. Since 2012, he has excelled in his role as the Administrative Sergeant. In 2025, he was promoted to Detention Lieutenant. In addition to his administrative duties, Lieutenant Bingham was appointed as the Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer in 2015. His expertise was further enhanced by attending the Advanced Public Information Officer training at FEMA headquarters in Washington, DC, in 2018.
A multifaceted leader, Lieutenant Bingham oversees the Sublette County Warrant Team and serves as a Reserve Communications Officer. In 2019, he initiated the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team, a critical asset for search and rescue operations, damage assessments, and crash reconstructions.
Lieutenant Bingham has amassed over 2,600 hours of law enforcement training, holding certifications as a Professional Detention Officer, Advanced Public Information Officer, Advanced Dispatcher, and Peace Officer. His qualifications are bolstered by more than a dozen FEMA National Incident Management System certifications and a graduation from the National Jail Command Leadership Academy, hosted by the American Jail Association in 2019.
